How to set up a salon booking page in minutes, without a website

Full salon booking software is built for six chairs and a rotating staff roster. If you are one or two stylists, here is what you actually need — and it is a lot less than a monthly software subscription.

Search "salon booking software" and you will land on tools built for multi-chair salons with staff-level calendars, online payments and no-show deposits — genuinely useful if you are running that scale of business, and genuinely more than a one- or two-stylist salon needs to get started. What most salons actually need first is simpler: a page that shows what you do, what it costs, and gets the booking request to you.

What belongs on a salon booking page

A real service menu, not a price list photo

A photo of a laminated price list works in the salon, not on a phone screen someone is squinting at on the bus. List each service properly: name, price (or "from ₹X" if it varies by hair length or stylist), and group them into categories — hair, skin, bridal, nails — the way a menu is organised, not a spreadsheet.

Fixed prices where you have them, quotes where you do not

A signature cut and blow-dry has a real price. A full bridal package genuinely depends on the bride, the date, and what she wants — so mark it "get a quote" instead of writing a number you will have to explain away later. Customers trust a clear quote-only listing more than a lowball price that turns into a longer number in person.

Your stylists, if customers book by name

If clients ask for "the same person who did it last time," give each stylist a face and a one-line bio. It is a small thing that makes a real difference to repeat bookings, and it costs nothing beyond a photo and two sentences.

Photos that are actually the work

Stock photos of models who never walked into your salon convince nobody. The haircuts you have actually done, the space itself, a before-and-after — this is what turns a browsing visitor into a booking.

A booking button that goes to WhatsApp

A contact form gets checked once a day, if that. A "Book now" button that opens WhatsApp with the service already typed in gets answered the way you already answer everything else — in real time, from your phone, between clients.

Setting it up

  1. Sign up and pick a look for your page — there are presets built specifically for salons and beauty businesses
  2. Add your services with prices, grouped into categories (hair, skin, bridal, etc.)
  3. Mark anything genuinely custom-priced as "get a quote" rather than guessing a number
  4. Add your stylists if clients book by name
  5. Upload 6–10 real photos of the work and the space
  6. Add a couple of real reviews — the WhatsApp thank-you messages you already have
  7. Connect WhatsApp so every "Book now" opens a chat with the service pre-filled
  8. Add your hours, location, and a map link
  9. Share the one link — Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, Google Business Profile, a QR code at reception

When you actually need full salon software instead

Be honest about the size of the problem you have. If you have four or more stylists on different shifts and clients expect to see live availability and book an exact slot online without talking to anyone, a dedicated scheduling platform earns its subscription. If you are one or two people and every booking involves a short WhatsApp back-and-forth anyway — confirming a time, checking if a slot works — a booking page that feeds that conversation the right information is the faster, cheaper place to start. Plenty of salons start here and move to full scheduling software later, once the volume actually justifies it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I list bridal packages without a fixed price?

Yes — mark any service "quote-only" and the page shows "Get a quote" instead of a price. It still lets customers ask about it without you having to commit to a number up front.

What if I have more than one location?

Right now this is built for one page per business. If you run more than one branch, set up a separate page per location so each one's hours, team and address are correct.

Do I need professional photos?

No — clear phone photos in good light of real work beat polished stock photography every time, because they are proof, not decoration.

How is this different from an Instagram page?

Instagram is where people discover you. A booking page is where they go to actually check prices and book — Instagram's own bio link and shopping tags are not built for a service menu, quote-only pricing, or a booking button that opens a pre-filled WhatsApp chat.
