Privacy policy
Last updated 6 August 2026.
This policy is for Frontdesk at frontdesk.womencanstartup.com. It explains what we store, why we store it, and how to remove it.
If you have an account
We store:
- Your email and, if you gave it, your phone number, to log you in and contact you about your account.
- Your password in encrypted form only. We cannot read it and we cannot tell you what it is.
- Everything you add to your page: business name, link, description, service names, prices, hours, team members, testimonials and any photos you upload.
- Every booking or quote enquiry a customer sends through your page — their name, contact and message.
- Your payment record: the Razorpay order ID, payment ID, amount, currency, status and payment method. Your card details never come to us — Razorpay handles the payment page and we only see the result.
- Any support message you send us, from your dashboard or the public contact form.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or any advertising tracker anywhere on this site. We do not build an advertising profile of you and we do not show you ads.
If you visit someone's business page
Business pages count page views, WhatsApp-button clicks and leads submitted, so the owner can see what is working. This is our own in-house counter, not an external analytics service — nothing about your visit is sent to Google, Meta or anyone else.
If you send a booking or quote enquiry through someone's page, the name and contact details you enter go to that business owner, so they can get back to you. That is between you and them; we only store it so it can reach their dashboard.
Where we detect your country
When you sign up, we read a country signal from Cloudflare (the network this site runs behind) to decide whether you are billed in rupees or dollars. We do not store your IP address or location — only the currency it resulted in, once, at signup.
Who else can see it
A small number of companies, each for one purpose:
- Razorpay takes the subscription payment and holds the card details.
- Our mail provider (Brevo, or Resend, depending on configuration) sends emails like password resets and support replies.
- Railway hosts the website and the database.
- If you upload a lot of photos, they may be stored with an S3-compatible storage provider (such as Cloudflare R2) instead of directly in our database — same purpose, just where the files physically live.
If you sign up for Frontdesk, your name and email may also be added to Women Can Startup's own newsletter list — the magazine this product is made by — since we treat a Frontdesk signup as a founder the magazine would want to be able to reach. You can unsubscribe from that list at any time using the link in any email it sends.
Nobody else. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies
Our own cookie is set only after you log in. It keeps you logged in and cannot be read by any script. Admin login uses a second cookie of the same type, which expires in 12 hours. There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. If you ask us to close it, we delete your account, your business page and everything in it. Payment records are kept longer where the law requires it for tax and accounts.
Your rights
Write to us from the contact page. We will send you a copy of your data, correct anything wrong, or delete your account. We will not ask you for a reason.
Changes to this policy
If we change something that affects you, we will email you. We will not change it quietly.
