Why we made it
Most service businesses run on Instagram and WhatsApp already. A customer sees a post, taps the bio link, and finds either a list of unrelated links or nothing useful at all. So they send a DM asking "what are your prices" or "do you have a slot Saturday" — a question you have already answered forty times this week.
People will tell you the fix is a website. For a one- or two-person business, that is usually too much: it takes weeks, costs money every month to keep running, and your customers still want to book you over WhatsApp anyway.
What Frontdesk does
Your bio link opens a real booking page — your services, your prices (or "get a quote" for anything custom), your team, photos of your work, and reviews from real customers.
Every service has a "Book now" or "Get a quote" button. Tap it, and it opens WhatsApp with that service already typed into the message, so a customer never has to explain from scratch what they want.
What we do not do
There is no calendar that locks a slot the second someone books it. You confirm the actual time yourself, over WhatsApp or a call — because for most service businesses that is a two-minute conversation, not something that needs a synced calendar. We also do not take any payment from your customers or hold their money; what they pay you for your service is entirely between the two of you.
Who we are
Frontdesk is made by Women Can Startup, a magazine about women-led Indian startups. We write about founders every day, and this product came directly from what they told us about running a business with no website and no time to build one.
What it costs
The first 7 days are free and we do not ask for a card. After that it is ₹399 a month for businesses in India, or $10 a month everywhere else. That is the whole price list — one plan, no commission on what you earn, no charge for the customers you bring in yourself.
